A 10-track album (with bonus) about dis-illusionment. Early Educational Reading books, like Janet and John, depicted a world of simple, happy souls. However... as we know, life can turn out a bit different! This album is a place where I could group elements of disillusion together. (Janet and John have grown up! To become complex, and somewhat darker humans as a result of life's experiences.) Feel the pain.

Dance with the Wave (By H.McMillan) You say you're going under and I believe you're coming up instead You say that all that you hear is thunder and I know calm lies up ahead And I'll be waiting on the shore On the rocks for ages and maybe you'll be washed up by the wave When your storm is over and vast horizons become clear To the one who knows her, really knows her - Guide her safely over here And I'll be waiting on the shore On the rocks for ages and maybe you'll be washed up by the wave And I'll be waiting on the shore On the shore On the shore On the shore On the shore On the shore

There's a Ghost in my House (By H.McMillan) All the memories are gone And when I try to make contact There's a ghost in my house I leave flowers on the table and I find them in the trash Writing me letters, writing me letters There's a ghost in my house We keep to our own existence Leaving me notes I used to hear her laughing I leave flowers on the table and I find them Now I feel so alone but there's a ghost in my house But we never seem to meet There's a ghost in my house Writing me letters Leaving me notes There's a ghost in my house Writing me letters Leaving me notes When I try to... There are two worlds I feel cold when I walk in the room I used to hear But now it's silent as the grave There's a ghost in my house There's a ghost in my house There's a ghost in my house All the memories Leaving me notes There's a ghost in my house All the shadows There's a ghost in my house
3.
Guilty as Charged (By H.McMillan) I'm guilty as charged I've been caught in possession of a broken heart I'm guilty, it's true I'm guilty of loving you I'm guilty as sin I did my best, I confess to the mess I'm in Guilty, it's true Guilty of loving you I'm Guilty of this crime But I've been judged and I'll do my time I'm guilty, it's true Guilty of loving you Guilty of loving you I've done my time Send him down, he's been a very very bad man Send him down, he's been a very very bad man Send him down, he's been a very very bad man Send him down, he's been a very very bad man Send him down, he's been a very very bad man

Peter and Jane go to work (By H.McMillan) Ahhh Yeah Lights out and into the dark Fights an urge to turn right back I do this to impress myself Because it means fuck all to anybody else Ahhh Yeah Ahhh Yeah All the problems and all the faults are so un-necessary I'm killing time by earning dimes but the man says it's all very very very very Ahhh Yeah Ahhh Yeah Who gives a fuck if you get stuck everywhere you go You don't get by on merit It's who you know, you know, you know, you know, you know Ahhh Yeah Ahhh Yeah Ahhh Yeah Don't let your work become your life Let your life become you Ahhh Yeah Ahhh Yeah Ahhh Yeah Ahhh Yeah

See what you made me do (By H.McMillan) I tried to tell you (you're wrong) but you would not listen I tried You would not I tried to tell you but you would not listen I tried to tell you but you would not listen I tried to tell you but you would not listen I tried to tell you but you would not listen I tried You would not I tried to tell you but you would not listen I tried I tried I tried

My Space (By H.McMillan) You only appreciate the simply pleasures when you walk along the road, you know? Looking at the trees, the sky, the birds, the bees. Ha ha, it's quite nice. Happy in my space, in my own place. If every day could be like this.

Death of a Friend (By H.McMillan) Don't tell me the conclusions of what goes on in your head The voices that you trust tell you things I never said Don't tell me I'm untruthful, don't tell me that I lie The judgements that you're making are like daggers in my side Don't tell me that it's easy 'cos I don't wanna hear I'm giving away so much of what I hold so dear You think that this is easy, I guess that all depends But for me it really feels like the death of a friend I know that you can hear me, I know you're listening now And I'll take this last catharsis before you turn me down I also know our friendship was only based in songs I didn't control the process, I only sang along Don't tell me that it's easy 'cos I don't wanna hear I'm giving away so much of what I hold so dear You think that this is easy, I guess that all depends You say it's a storm in a teacup But for me it really feels like the death of a friend The death of a friend The death of a friend Don't tell me that it's easy 'cos I don't wanna hear I'm giving away so much of what I hold so dear You think that this is easy, I guess that all depends But for me it's the death of a friend The death of a friend The death of a friend The death of a friend The death of a friend The death of a friend The death of a friend

Spectacular Failure (By H.McMillan) Yeah Aw I know, I know, I know I could've done better But the only way I learn is by making mistakes And even though I tried to do things to the letter And I've tried my best to do things to the letter But I don't I was there at a time I wasn't needed I hung around, not sure of what to do I couldn't tell if I failed or I succeeded But I failed to be there when I was needed by you And if I had my time again, Which I don't! I would tell you it would all be just fine, Which it won't! You'ld believe me, you would need me And I would not be this spectacular failure And if I had my time again, Which I don't! I would tell you it would all be just fine, Which it won't! You'ld believe me, you would need me And I would not be this spectacular failure This spectacular failure

about

1. Dance with The Wave is a return to an earlier track, with a dance beat. I wanted something I could dance to in the dark, where no-one can see!

2. Since we had Words, there's a Ghost in my House is about "relationship". Specifically, when two people who live together and no-longer speak to each other. Almost like they live in parallel universes!

3. Guilty as Charged is about guilt!

4. Peter and Jane go to Work describes the recurring servitude of "work", when you feel not valued (or bullied). Is it time to move on... or dig deeper? Either way, it can cause a head-scream!

5. See what you made me do is about knowing what will happen and being powerless to change it.

6. Timeous is a little tune! Too timorous to get any bigger than it is, but it waits, just in case it can.

7. My own Space developed from my notion that the website "MySpace" could use a musical enhancement to it's brand. I thought I might sell it to them! :-)

8. Cat and James taught me how to Walk is a tune about attitude!

9. Death of a Friend is about the breakup of a friendship. (Ok... Maybe this particular "fall-out" is a bit to emotionally portrayed! I hold no ill-feelings and I have some guilt, but no regret.)

10. Spectacular Failure describes me again... (However, "failure" is the only way we learn! Discuss!)
