The End of Time (H.McMillan)

from Love by Jackson Greenhorn

/

about

This track is about the end of time... Both personal and universal.

Back in 2012, December 21 was heralded as the date that the world would end by conspiracy theorists who were using the Mayan calendar to try and make sense of an ancient prediction.

A previous recording was made in collaboration with Scott Thornton some years ago, but the music and lyrics are my own.

lyrics

Once in a lifetime, we build, we dig, we sow,
And indomitably, we breath, we learn, we grow.
All the endeavour, and the clever things we do or treasure,
Fade in a moment, of what seems unscripted cruelty,
And so, goodnight.

I'll be with you at the end of time,
And we'll hold hands... At the end of time,
Where nothing begins and then he cycle begins.

With so little lifetime, to see, to do, to be,
And we in our infancy, our lives are filled with need,
And so, what of dignity, and humanity of soul and kin,
To be ripped from another, by a synchronous, universal whim,
And so, goodnight.

I'll be with you at the end of time,
And we'll hold hands... At the end of time,
Where nothing begins and then he cycle begins.

All the clever things we do, fade in a moment.

Just stay close, hold my hand, I have so much to tell you,
I always felt, I always knew, this moment was approaching,
Say nothing to me, hold me close, words are not important now,
I believe we'll be together, somehow...
Because I won't say never.
No I won't say never!
