Findoglen (By H.McMillan)

about

Findoglen has had some form of dwelling for hundreds of years. It's an incredibly romantic location on the side of Loch Earn. Many families have lived here. A previous house was raised to the ground by retaliatory soldiers of the English Crown following the defeat of the Jacobite rebellion of 1745. It's surrounded by life, but fairly isolated. Summer and Winter are beautiful.

lyrics

Findoglen by H.McMillan

You've heard the whispers, saw the fires along the glen
Sheltered those in sympathy, sent the young boys with the men
Freedom and rebellion, time and time and time again
Findoglen

You've felt the flooding when the stones rose to the roof
You've seen the rutting deer roaming on the hoof
Sheltered many families, time and time and time again
Findoglen

And every summer, the flowers bloom as new
Ducks, Geese and Birds of Prey, Butterflies and Fruits
Peace and Love for everything, Kindness through and through
Findoglen

And when winter's fingers grip and the wood is hard to find
A warm hearth draws you inward to places in your mind
Beneath a thick white carpet, you take me back in time
Findoglen
